Year 3
AUTUMN
In RE this term pupils became theologists by learning about Christianity. They explored the story of Jesus as well as some Christian traditions such as Christenings. They also learnt about John the Baptist, his significance to Jesus’ story and about the Christian symbols and their meanings.
SPRING
This term Year 3 have studied Islam. They were greatly enthused by learning about this religion. The children learnt a great deal and were able to express this in many ways. This includes explaining Muslims core beliefs using the five pillars of Islam, writing a report about what the Quran is and how important it is to Muslims and how Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) received the first revelation of the Quran.
