Year 3
AUTUMN
For the first term of History Year 3 became historians. They explored the changes between the Stone Age to the Iron Age. With this they looked at what life was like for early humans. They examine their hunter-gatherer traits and explored the early stages of farming development and discussed factors that influenced these changes. They also explored case studies of early settlements such as Skara Brae and explored Stonehenge and made predictions about what its function was.
As historians, Year 3 have travelled back in time to learn about the Roman Empire. They have learned about Roman rulers and legends such as Caesar, Claudius and Boudica. Discovered how the Roman Empire became so strong by invading other empires and settlements as well as engaged in discussions around how The mighty Roman Empire fell.
