Heathrow Primary School
Last Friday, six of our talented writers from Year 5 and 6 had the wonderful opportunity to visit St Anne's College, Oxford. On arrival, the children were treated to a medieval story time delivered by Sian Gronlie, a professor in medieval literature. They then had a tour of the university followed by a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, the children shared a piece of writing they are proud of with Sian and a group of Oxford students, receiving very positive praise for their writing styles and their confidence when reading aloud. The visit was hugely inspirational and gave the children an idea as to what university life is like.
