Times Tables
Whole School Times Tables Plan
At Heathrow Primary School, each half term, the children will learn, practise and be tested on the above times tables. The first maths lesson of each half term will be to introduce that half term’s times table when the children will study the times table as a class, discuss any patterns they notice and play some engaging times tables games. Following this, every maths lesson for that half term will begin with a times table warm up including the current times table as well as previously learnt times tables (refer to table above.) Testing will happen once a week, alternating between a test on the current times table one week and then a mixed test of previously learnt times tables the following week.
