This term, our children are diving into the bold and expressive world of Jean-Michel Basquiat. Through the beautifully illustrated book Radiant Child by Javaka Steptoe, they are learning about Basquiat’s life, unique artistic style, and his journey to fame. As part of their English learning, pupils will apply their knowledge to write an information text about the artist. They will use key features of non-fiction writing, including cohesive devices such as subordinating and relative clauses, modal verbs, and adverbs to show degrees of possibility.
