In Year 4, the children aspired to become bakers as they progressed through a series of lessons which enabled them to develop a range of skills related to baking. During the first lesson, the children sampled a host of different biscuits allowing them to critique and understand which biscuits appealed to them. This was followed by a cooking lesson which allowed the children to practice their biscuit making skills following a simple recipe. After this, children learnt the importance of budgeting and were forced to select only three ingredients for their final biscuits. The children designed vivid, eye-catching biscuit packaging before finally making their final product.
