For their literacy topic this term, Year 2 will be reading ‘The Great Fire of London’. The objective for the children by the end of the term will to be able to a write an information report based on this subject. Children will be able to discern between non-fiction and fiction as well as understand how information can be displayed in a variety of ways. In addition to this, children will be able to make inferences based on their chosen text as well as be exposed to and learn a range of rich, engaging vocabulary.
