Year 6
Year 6 have had a fantastic World Book Week! They began last week by preparing to perform well-known stories to the children in Early Years and KS1. Each day this week, the different groups have given wonderful performances that have been thoroughly enjoyed by both children and staff. The children should be incredibly proud of themselves for showing confidence in performing, and excellent collaboration skills. Also this week, Year 6 have enjoyed watching an online workshop with an illustrator and having a go at some illustrations themselves. They have used their knowledge of books to help them solve a mystery in the library and taken part in an Author Workshop with Ruth Burgess. On Thursday, the children brought in their favourite books from home and enjoyed sharing these with their friends during our Tea Party! To conclude the week, Year 6 have made a super effort with their costumes to celebrate World Book Day. What a wonderful week it’s been!
