SPRING TERM:
This term, the children were working with fabric during their 'Fabric of Nature' topic. Children were exploring the work created by William Morris and Senaka Senanayake as they looked at inspiration and starting points for artists' work. Year 4 then looked at repeated patterns using their own sketches of images from the Rainforests. Children then created a pattern using their drawings of living things found in the Rainforests, taking inspiration from their own mood boards and research. The children then used the technique of batik to transfer their repeated pattern onto material before adding their chosen colours using paint.
