Autumn - Special Places
This term our RE topic was ‘Special Places’. This topic is linked with the children’s personal, social and emotional development. The children were given the opportunities to identify the special places they may have visited with their families. They discussed and recognised that people from different religious and cultural backgrounds have different special places. The children especially enjoyed the trip to St Mary’s Harmondsworth Church where they were given the opportunity to walk around the church to look at the different features and consider why churches are a special place for Christians.
