Spring 2 - My Name is Not Refugee by Kate Milner
As writers, we will focus on the book ’My name is not Refugee’ with the final intended outcome being that we will write a recount from the character’s perspective. Children will write sentences with different forms (statement, question, exclamation, command), use subordination (because, when), use present and past tenses correctly and consistently and use punctuation correctly (exclamation marks, question marks).

As writers, we will focus on the book ’Tidy’ with the final intended outcome being that we will write a persasive letter in the role of the main character Pete. Children will write sentences with different forms (statement, question, exclamation, command), use subordination (that, if), use homophones and the suffixes -er and -est.
