Heathrow Primary School
This term, we have been studying Crime and Punishment from the Roman times until now. While learning about Victorian times, we completed a fact hunt about Crime and Punishment and discussed what elements of Victorian Crime and Punishment we agreed or disagreed with, comparing this period of history to previous historical eras. We were also delighted to be able to visit The Tower of London to consolidate our learning of Tudor Crime and Punishment and enjoyed exploring the tower to see, in real life, the things we have learnt about in class.
This term, Year 6 will study World War II. Children will learn about many aspects of the war and how if affected the lives of the people at the time. Children will understand the key points that caused and ended the war. They will explore the importance of the roles of women during the war and how propaganda was used to encourage people to join the war effort. We will also look at such topics such as rationing and the evacuation of children.
