World Book Week was spectacular because we enjoyed a variety of activities to get ourselves into reading. We kicked off the week by having a teacher swap! A teacher from another year group read stories to us. On Tuesday, we entered a ‘Design your own gift card’ competition. Have a look at some of our designs! On Wednesday, we had a Hobbit’s Tea Party, where we enjoyed snacks and extracts from our favourite books. On Thursday, we had a treat! Wizard Stories were in to entice us all with their storytelling sessions. We also dressed up as our favourite book characters on Thursday! On Friday, had to be armed with good book because Mr Giles rang a bell intermittently and we had to ‘Drop Everything And Read – D.E.A.R’!
