In Literacy, the children have had an opportunity to explore lots of different books. We focused on books which were fiction and non-fiction. Our personal favourite was the non-fiction books about The Great Fire of London. We wrote a non-chronological report about firefighters in the past and now, describing their roles and responsibilities We have also used many new grammar features like conjunctions, contractions, possessive apostrophes, suffixes and past/present tense. More recently, we looked at the traditional tales of Little Red Riding Hood and the Gingerbread Man and we came up with some creative alternative endings too!
