Road Safety

'Be Bright Be seen' day

We had a 'Be Bright be Seen'; day which involved all the children and some staff dressing up in bright colours to remind us all how important it is to be seen by drivers especially when it is dark. The children also took part in creating posters or badges to help remind them of the importance of being bright when walking.

The children in the nursery had the borough 'Road Safety' officers in to teach them how to cross the road safely. They learnt that they had to 'Stop, Look, Listen, Hold hands' before they crossed the road.

Pupils in the Year one classes had pedestrian training to ensure that they know how to cross the road safely

The year two children went on a walk to identify the features of a village and during this time the teacher took the opportunity to remind them of the road safety rules.

Pupils in Year 3 received outdoor practical pedestrian training from Hillingdon's pedestrian trainers and were helped to develop important road safety skills, learning how to deal with traffic and roads.

The Year Six children had 'Bikeability' training.
