Online Learning Resources

PE Lessons:

Fitness coach, Joe Wicks, will be holding an online PE lesson, specifically for children, every Monday - Friday at 9am on his YouTube channel. It is important we stay active during this time, little and often exercise is good for our health. You can join in with the PE lessons on 'The Body Coach' YouTube page:

RM Easimaths:

RM Easimaths is a personal progress maths website designed to move you through the Year 5 maths curriculum at your own pace. Your child's personal log in details can be found in their Times Tables book.

Science

In science we have been exploring states of matter and properties of materials. The following are links to experiments which can easily be completed at home, using common house hold items. Each experiment shows how each material has different properties and how different environments effect materials states of matter.

Daily 10 Mental Maths Challenges:

Daily 10 is an online game which will support your child with their mental maths. Select level 5 for Year 5 expected standard maths then choose a category to support your child's addition, subtraction, multiplication, rounding or place value. The children then answer the questions using their mental maths before scoring themselves.

CBBC Newsround:

It is important that children keep up to date with the news going on around the United Kingdom as well as the world. As the news is mainly dominated by stories about the Coronavirus, Newsround is a good place for children to go to hear and read about different news stories. They can keep up to date with news regarding climate change, gaming, music and can take part in different quizzes; there is also a daily Newsround episode children can watch online.
